28日、熊本県熊本地方でマグニチュード7.1の大地震が発生して熊本県の宇城市と氷川町で震度7の揺れを観測し、大きな被害が出ています。29日午後10時19分ごろにも震度5弱の揺れを観測する地震が発生するなど地震活動が活発な状態が続いていて、気象庁は今後、1週間ほどは最大震度7程度の地震に注意するよう呼びかけています。熊本県では断水や停電が続く地域がありますが、30日以降も猛烈な暑さが予想されていて、復旧作業などの際は熱中症を防ぐためにできるかぎりの対策を行ってください。
